Short is the point
People decide to give in a moment, often on a phone, and every extra field gives them a reason to stop. A good donation page says what the gift supports in a sentence or two, offers a few suggested amounts plus an open field, asks for the details your processor needs and nothing else, and then gets out of the way. The thank-you page and the receipt email do the rest.
- A Give button in the header of every page, with the same label everywhere
- Suggested amounts your board chooses, each with a short line on what it helps pay for if you want that
- One-time and monthly options, where your processor supports recurring gifts
- Gift in honor or in memory of someone, if your group offers it
- A thank-you page that points to the next step, such as volunteering or the next event
- Text fields large enough to tap and labels that stay visible while people type
Campaign pages
A coat drive, a building fund or a year-end appeal works better with its own page. Each campaign page has a short story in your words, a photo you have permission to use, and the same giving form. If your processor reports totals, we can show progress toward a goal. If it doesn't, we leave the bar off rather than ask a volunteer to update a number by hand.
Your payment tool
We work with the donation platform or payment processor you use now. Most offer a hosted form, an embeddable form or a link with preset amounts, and we pick whichever fits the page best and style the area around it to match your site. Card details never pass through the site we build. If you don't have a tool yet, we can list questions to ask, such as fees, recurring gifts and payout timing, and your board makes the call.
Receipts and legal wording
Receipt text, tax deduction statements and any registration notices are for your treasurer, accountant or attorney to write. We don't give tax or legal advice. We make sure their wording appears where it belongs, on the page, in the receipt email or both, and that it reads clearly on a phone.
Questions
Can donors cover the processing fee?
Many processors offer that option. If yours does, we turn it on and word it plainly. If it doesn't, we won't build a workaround that changes how money moves.
Can we have more than one donation form?
Yes. A general giving page plus one form per campaign is common, and each can point to a different fund if your processor tracks funds.
